In Rhuidean you will find three rings, arranged so.
*draws three lines in the air, joining together in the middle*
Step through any one. You will see your future laid before you, again and again, in variation. They will not guide you wholly, as is best, for they will fade together as do stories heard long ago, yet you will remember enough to know some things that must be for you, despised as they may be, and some that must not, cherished hopes that they are. This is the beginning of being called wise.
Recount one time in your life when a decision you made changed the outcome of something in your life.

Ummm . . . wow, this was a surprise!
A decision that changed my life - wow. There have been so many it's hard to choose, yet nothing so earth-shattering as to be exciting.
I drifted through life and even education for several years after high school. At the urging of my dad, I finally targeted an associate degree and pursued it. Within a couple semesters of completing that degree, I applied for a federal civil service job in a clerical field. I worked in that field for about 2 years and was dissatisfied with its "dead-endedness." No opportunities for advancement and low pay was not my idea of a long-term career. So I decided that maybe I should go back to school . . . for an engineering degree! Since math had never been my strong suit, I was a bit nervous but had one thing going for me in adulthood that I lacked in my adolescent and teen days. Sheer stubborn perserverence (and an engineer who took me under his wing and tutored me through algebra and trig). I took classes at night for over a year then finally, after I had my 3-years of "tenure," applied for a co-op position. I told the co-op director, "I'll do it with you or without you but I'm doing it." I was accepted and 3 years later I graduated with a B of ME from Auburn University. I now have a very stable job with excellent pay (though opportunities for advancement seem to have stagnated in my particular program *sigh*). But that decision to pursue a previously unthought of career has opened many doors for me that would have otherwise never been opened. I've traveled, I've met a lot of people, and I've learned a lot.
Among the things I've learned - "you're capable of more than you think you are," "never give up," "can't never did," and all sorts of other truisms.
"Till water is gone, till shade is gone . . ." Never give up!
