Hmm... that would make for a rather interesting Monthly Discussion. Quite unlike our previous ones =) (Which I wished we had archived instead of going to the black hole of the crash!! )
Since Ata came up with the idea she can decide whether she'd like to lead the discussion or let someone else do it. As the group discussion leader it is your job to keep the thread moving and on topic. Rather important job

the GA archives to two offsite boards. The EZboard and the Runboard. Both, simotaniously, hopefully, to ensure no loss. Seem's over achieving I know, but if you loose as much history as the Greens have you would fully agree. We are up to 100 members (offsite) but I am sure that only about 90 of them are actual Greenies. At 80 members, our history was HUGE.
I can do some archiving. It's a tedious task, though I tell ya! I would need to know where to archive to?

So far we've done all the archieving to the off site boards at dmaiel.proboards46.com/, Cleo. How come we really lost all our Monthly discussions? They were such a 'new' thing, I guess. *sigh*
So nobody really wants to get raised and earn some points? We're in May already, and I really would have liked to have that discussion! I guess I could do it myself (it's not really that much work), but of course I would have preferred some aspie to take it.
So... any volunteers? We'll help you with everything if you have any questions at all!

I agree. That's what I just said, right? The only reason God came out better over Goddess was because it was in a patriarchal world. Therefore, if it were a matriachal world, I'd imagine it would be a Goddess. And since the world would still be female dominated, it would mean that men would still be thought lesser.

But I don't think it wouold be vesible in this world for us to have a matriarichly socioty(SP?), Men want to domminate, and back in the early days of civilaztions forming It was might makes right. And guys are stronger then girls. (Please don't call me sexist for saying that.) Now it could happen, except for the facts that it's to late. It has become imbedded in our culture that men are in charge. And we are starting to break free from that now, but in the end it will be an equal society, wiht all of the history of men being in charge.
Now if we forget that a materairichal(SP?) couldn't happen, then I think it would be very different. Most christian religions would probly have a heavenly mother, a few wars wouldn't have started.
I realize that whole thing thing is sexist, but It's pretty close to acurate. But sorry if I offended any of you.
And sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place, It's been a while since I've visited and this is the first board I checked.

Well really, the whole basis of the discussion is sexist. The only way it wouldn't be if it were about a world dominated equally between males and females. You should just ignore those types of things, Haran, and not care who you offend. It's like my momma always told me. It's not what comes out that's dirty, it's what's put in. I wasn't offended by anything you said RJ. I was offended, however, with what Zack said. You assume a little too much.
I offer this view; let you guys be physically stronger, (though if you look at athletes today it would be very hard to say that without coughing up a women basket ball team, baseball team, weightlifters, boxers... Auto mechanics etc. I also know that women have one more set of rib bones that gives us better balance then men. We also withstand more pressure, heat, cold etc (physically and mentally) than men according to NASA. So other than being able to lift more per weight (barbells) I would have to argue your point on strength.
Religions idealize women... nearly every single religion. Gotta be a reason for that wouldn't you say? We are the vessel! LOL

while that may certainly be true enough, if you look at the hisory that men have dominated you will see the testosterone through out time. egos have always driven men to war, so what's a little pms. it only lasts for a few days where men are egomaniacs 24/7

There are many types of war. And many reasons for wars to be started. There is the war to destroy a rival. A war of rebellion. A war to raise up your own peoples. Personally, I don't think our world would be much different, except men would be considered lesser as a whole. Or we would have risen up to bloody you. And the 'One True God' would be a Goddess.

to be honest zach i really don't think the gender of a person is what drives them. maybe the way in which their brain reaches a conclusion. it really depends on the person and their belief. men or women are really all trying to make it in this world

I agree. That's what I just said, right? The only reason God came out better over Goddess was because it was in a patriarchal world. Therefore, if it were a matriachal world, I'd imagine it would be a Goddess. And since the world would still be female dominated, it would mean that men would still be thought lesser.

But I don't think it wouold be vesible in this world for us to have a matriarichly socioty(SP?), Men want to domminate, and back in the early days of civilaztions forming It was might makes right. And guys are stronger then girls. (Please don't call me sexist for saying that.) Now it could happen, except for the facts that it's to late. It has become imbedded in our culture that men are in charge. And we are starting to break free from that now, but in the end it will be an equal society, wiht all of the history of men being in charge.
Now if we forget that a materairichal(SP?) couldn't happen, then I think it would be very different. Most christian religions would probly have a heavenly mother, a few wars wouldn't have started.
I realize that whole thing thing is sexist, but It's pretty close to acurate. But sorry if I offended any of you.
And sorry if I'm posting in the wrong place, It's been a while since I've visited and this is the first board I checked.

Well really, the whole basis of the discussion is sexist. The only way it wouldn't be if it were about a world dominated equally between males and females. You should just ignore those types of things, Haran, and not care who you offend. It's like my momma always told me. It's not what comes out that's dirty, it's what's put in. Let people be offended, that's their problem.

I wasn't offended by anything you said RJ. I was offended, however, with what Zack said. You assume a little too much.
I offer this view; let you guys be physically stronger, (though if you look at athletes today it would be very hard to say that without coughing up a women basket ball team, baseball team, weightlifters, boxers... Auto mechanics etc. I also know that women have one more set of rib bones that gives us better balance then men. We also withstand more pressure, heat, cold etc (physically and mentally) than men according to NASA. So other than being able to lift more per weight (barbells) I would have to argue your point on strength.
Religions idealize women... nearly every single religion. Gotta be a reason for that wouldn't you say? We are the vessel! LOL
